On November 20, 2025, Skylight co-hosted an Energetic board game night at the Society for Ethical Culture.
Energetic is a cooperative board game that makes live the complexity of the great project of our era — rebuilding our cities to run on clean energy. Featured in the New York Times and NY1, Energetic puts players in charge of the city’s clean energy buildout from 2026 to 2040, simulating the future of New York City’s energy transition.
Your mission:
Build 16 gigawatts of clean power
Balance grid reliability, public opinion, and your budget
Phase out fossil fuels while driving demand-side efficiency
Navigate climate impacts, elections, and infrastructure challenges
This is a hands-on way to explore what decarbonization really takes — and how you can be part of the solution.
