Clean Energy Building Tour: The Victoria
New York, NY 10003 Map
Join Skylight and EN-POWER GROUP for an exclusive insider building tour of the clean energy work at The Victoria — a 506-unit Manhattan co-op that is actively overhauling its systems to get ahead of Local Law 97.
On this tour, you will:
About the building: The Victoria is a 506-unit co-op near Union Square. The building was constructed in 1965 and primarily uses natural gas-powered steam boilers for heating. Working with EN-POWER GROUP, one of the city’s leading decarbonization and energy engineering firms, the building developed and implemented a comprehensive set of energy efficiency projects that now save nearly $300,000 in annual energy costs and achieved $0 in Local Law 97 penalties through 2030 and beyond. Energy upgrades completed so far include a new electric chiller, high-efficiency boilers, and electric heat pumps for domestic hot water. Current projects in the works include a building management integration system to optimize performance of all these systems, and distribution upgrades.
